Mimi Wagner

Mimi joined the firm in 2005, coming from the highly regarded (AV-rated) law firm of Montgomery, Kolodny, Amatuzio & Dusbabek, L.L.P. in Denver. She tried cases for the Montgomery, Kolodny law firm in Colorado state courts and worked on litigation before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the Environmental Protection Agency, Region 8. Mimi was a member of the Thompson G. Marsh American Inn of Court in Denver. Her experience includes civil litigation, such as commercial litigation and environmental litigation, as well as real estate, real estate related litigation, estate planning, and related areas. She also worked on the Colorado Bar Association’s Estate Planning Handbook and forms book.

Prior to working at the Colorado law firm, Mimi had a one-year state judicial clerkship with the Honorable Roxanne Bailin.

Mimi graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado in 2000. While in law school, she also was an intern at Governor Romer’s office, an intern for a District of Colorado federal judge, a research assistant for a law school professor, and a law clerk at the Boulder County Attorney’s Office.

Mimi graduated from the University of Washington in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Political Science. While at the University of Washington, she was frequently on the Dean’s List. She tutored writing at the English Writing Center.

Mimi grew up in Friday Harbor and is enjoying serving clients and the island community. Mimi was a San Juan County Citizens’ Salary Commission Co-Chair and subsequently, its Chair, during the Salary Commission’s first term in 2006-2007. She currently serves on the San Juan County Law Library Board of Trustees (2008 – Present). Her practice areas at the firm include real estate, land use, estate planning, probate, and business law.
