About Us | Our History

Bill Weissinger has practiced law since 1982. He worked in the Boston, Massachusetts area for 8 years, first with a prestigious law firm, and then as in-house counsel to a large diversified public company. Bill's wife Rudi worked as a manager at Wang Laboratories (and before that as manager at Sears Roebuck's corporate offices in Chicago).

Bill opened his law practice on San Juan Island in 1990. Since that time, Rudi has worked with Bill as legal assistant and office manager.

In 1999, Bill and Rudi moved into their new office in the Caines Street Professional Building, a two-office condominium which the Weissingers built jointly with Steve Kennedy of Kennedy McCulloch, CPAs, the firm that occupies the other condominium unit. Rudi designed the office's interior space (and supervised the office construction).

Mimi Wagner joined our team in June, 2005. Mimi grew up in Friday Harbor and has returned to the island after practicing with a highly regarded (AV-rated) law firm in Denver, Colorado.

Our office has developed a reputation with the firm's clients (and their opponents), with the Courts, and with the County Permit Center and other County departments, of providing legal services of the highest quality, and of aggressively and ethically pursuing our clients' interests.
